Christmas tree decorating
We decorated the Christmas tree with the girls, well let me say they decorated it, i just supervised. They had a good time, but for some reason they wanted to put like a million balls on the tree, and unfortunately at some point it fell over, so we had to start over. Lets just say lesson learned. We are getting ready for Christmas around here. In the ministry we already had one cooking and feeding outreach, and we have a few more scheduled, and then we have our Christmas with Jesus coming up, with all of the games, food, and toys, that day is always fun, and lots of children leave very happy.
We hope you all are having a joyful Holiday season.
Be blessed.

Belky's 15th birthday
This past Friday, we celebrated Belky's 15th birthday. Here in Honduras the 15th birthday is a bigger deal than the sweet 16 in the states. We had a party for her with all of our older kids, there was loud music, dancing, well if you want to call it that, a great meal, and then of course the best part, the cake. She had a good time, and was smiling quite a bit, and considering how she was when she first got here, God has brought her a long way. Of course Kathy was a little disappointed that we did not have a pinata, but 15 year olds are too mature for that, that's what the kids told me anyway. LOL.

Ada, Belky, Judith
We have two of our girls that had babies last month, Ada, and Belky. Ada had a boy, his name is Angel, and Belky had a boy also, his name is Christian. The babies are doing great. Eating and getting fatter every day. The moms are a little tired from waking up during the night, but over all they are doing fine. It amazes me that they are 15, and 14 yrs. old and full time mothers, they are doing a wonderful job.
We received Judith back in Oct. with her baby, Andrea. She was taken from her home, and an abusive situation and placed with us. They are both precious.
We have a full house, but it's all good!!

Goodbye to Amber and David
This weekend was a sad and happy one, i think we use the phrase bitter, sweet. We have said goodbye to Amber and David. We are sad because they have been here almost 2 years, and you just can't help but getting attached to some people, and of course that baby boy is precious, and will be missed terribly. He has lived with us, in our house, off and on, since he has was born, and so there is a slight attachment, but they left with Amber's dad to go to the Roatan until Dec. 1, and then they will be traveling to the states for a while. We will see what God has in store for them both, please pray with us that they stay safe, and happy, and that many great opportunities will happen for them. This is the beginning of a new chapter for them both. I am happy that they will be with family, especially during this holiday season.
Take care and God bless you all.

Kathy's 4
Kathy turned 4 in Oct, i know every time i send out a blog with one of the kids birthdays i say i can't believe they are another year older, but i cannot believe how fast the time goes by. Now i understand why parents say take advantage of the time you have with them when they are little, because it will pass you by before you know it. We had the usual party with all the trimmings, it was fun, and of course i chose a pinata that was twice her size, oh well.
Until the next blog, peace out.

David and Jonathan
Well it seems lately that my life never has a dull moment. For the last month, or so, i have had Jonathan, Lucita's baby, living with us in our house. She is at the children's home for a while, the stress of being a full time mom, at the age of 10, was a little too much, so she is just getting some breathing space so she can be a kid for a while. So there is Jonathan, right?, and then came little David, again. He is Amber's baby, and he was with me for about a week. He got really sick, and so did his mom, so he was with me getting well, Praise God he is back with his mom in the girls house, and they are both doing well.
Like i said my life is never dull, and sleep is very precious to me, and i drink coffee like there is no tomorrow, but still having fun, and loving life.

My 39th Birthday
All i can say is that God is so good, and each year gets even better. I am so blessed, words cannot even begin to describe it.
I celebrated my 39th b-day on Oct. 1, i can't believe i am almost 40, WOW, time flies. I am happy, and healthy, what more could a girl ask for. The girls at the girls home went all out for my b-day, they made me a cake, made me an awesome card, and cooked me a great dinner, i am blessed to have them, they are great. It seems as though we are really beginning to act like family, the girls are more comfortable, and me too, it was a little tough getting settled into the new house, and all that goes with that, but things seem to be going pretty smooth. PTL!!!

New girls
We received 2 new girls within the last few weeks. They are both 14, and pregnant, and one was removed from her grandparents home because she was being molested by her grandfather, her name is Ada, and the other is Belky, she came here because her father was sexually abusing her. Ada had adapted pretty well to the new environment, but Belky has had a tough time. All she did for the first week was cry off and on, but i can only imagine being 14, pregnant, taken away from her mother and put with total strangers, i would probably cry myself. But praise God, she has come around she seems to like it better and she actually smiles from time to time.
Please pray for them that they will be happy, and totally restored.
Maria and Kevin
Maria is 14, and has her son Kevin, 4 months. I wrote her story in June, about how Maria came to be in the ministry. Maria, like Luz, used to cry and did not want to socialize with anybody, but God has done some amazing things in her, and it's cool to see how He is using her to minister to the new girls we just recently received, But GOD!!
Luz and Jonathan
Luz came to Prince of Peace children's home, pregnant, and 10 yrs. old. The situation is still under investigation, but supposedly the baby is her stepfathers. He had been having sex with her for a while. She was taken out of the home and placed with us so she could receive the proper prenatal care, etc... Her son, Jonathan, is 7 weeks old, and doing well. Luz cried almost everyday in the beginning, but now the Lord is healing her, and has brought joy to her life.
Please keep her and her son in your prayers.

Roxana and Nicole
Roxana has an awesome testimony and has been in the ministry for 2 years. She has come a long way. She came to go through the FTO rehab program as a 16 yr old. She was involved in the gangs, she would smuggle weapons, drugs etc... inside of herself into the prison for gang members, and one day she and some of her friends had enough and wanted out, and she found out the other girls went to the leader to tell him they wanted out and they were found dead, so she decided to run, and was brought here to Zambrano, and so now Roxana fears for her life, and now the life of Nicole, her 1 yr old daughter. While she was in rehab she ran away, got pregnant, and then came back to the ministry, and now she and Nicole live in the girls home for unwed moms. She is a hard worker and a blessing to the ministry, and she is learning to be a mom to Nicole. Please pray for Roxana to just learn to have the peace of the Lord at all times.

Amber and David
Amber came to the FTO rehab center for rehab, and during her time there she discovered she was pregnant, and so she finished the rehab part of the program, and then she was moved to the Children's home. There she was involved with all the daily activities up until she had David, and then she was being trained to be a mom. Now Amber and David live at the house for unwed moms, and she is still being trained to be a mom. Amber and David will probably be leaving in Nov. so that Amber can focus on her future and what God has for her outside of this ministry, so please be in prayer for her and David for God to protect them, and for direction for her dad to help find the bast place for them. We love them and hate to see them go, but we believe that God has other plans for Amber and David, they deserve to be in Gods perfect will just like we all do.
Thanks, and God bless.

Joey's 3rd birthday
Joey had his 3rd birthday party Sunday. He had fun, loved the cake and presents, but he was terrified of his pinata. It was a character from the cartoon on discovery kids, Backyardagins, he loves the show, but freaked out about the pinata.
I cannot believe he is 3, he was just a tiny baby in my arms, seems like 6 months ago, it kinda makes me sad that he is growing up so fast, sometimes i wish i could put everything on pause just to slow things down just a little bit.
Please pray for the continuation for his adoption to keep going smoothly. We are still pursuing the adoption and not substitute family, and with that we need his mothers consent, and they are working on getting that right now, yes they found his mom, for those of you that don't know, and so please pray for Gods will in this situation, and for peace. I know in my heart he is ours, but sometimes your mind gets the best of you and you say just what if, but I know my God is bigger than all that. I am still believing that by the first of the year he will be ours legally, and we can travel with him to the states, so get ready to meet Joey sometime next year.
Thanks to you all, and God bless. Thanks for your prayers.
Keeping the faith,
Robyn

New House
It's Sunday night, the day before hurricane Gustav is supposed to hit, and my prayers are with you all in the LA, TX, and FL-AL, areas. I am believing that this storm will just be a tropical storm, with little, or no damage at all. Remember GOD IS IN CONTROL OF ALL THINGS!
I just wanted to share some pictures with you of the new house we live in and the latest of Kathy and Joey, they are growing up so fast, and i am not believing that Joey is almost 3 in Sept, and Kathy 4 in Oct, wow. I always say if you blink you will miss something.
Take care and God bless you all. I'll have another update very soon.

House for girls and babies finally opens!
>
Well the time has finally come, we moved to the girls home property, in the staff house we built, and we moved in our first girls with their babies, in their house, Praise Jesus! It took quite some time to get things squared away to open it and bring the girls in, but it happened, it's always about Gods timing, not ours. We are having a blast. There are four mothers with their babies. Amber - 29 with David - 7 months, Roxanna - 18 with Nicole - 1 yr. Lucita - 10 with Jonathan - 6 weeks, and Maria 13 with kevin - 3 months. There is a slight language barrier, but Praise God that i can speak a little Spanish, and Roxanna speaks a little English, so we are getting by just fine. I am putting my Eng/Span dictionary to good use. We have room right now for two more pregnant girls, and or girls that have already had their babies, but i know again it's all about God's timing, right now we are just getting into the groove of things. Thanks to all of you that have helped to make this dream finally come true, either by your prayers, financial donations, other donations, or all of the above. Thank you and God bless you all.

Epic Team from Florida
Two weeks ago we had one of our dear friend's, Charles Young, the youth pastor from Bayside community church in Bradenton, FL, here with a team of 14 young people to experience the mission field for a week. According to most of them it was an awesome experience, and they will never be the same. They went and did outreach to the local community, they cleaned up the streets of Zambrano, helped clean up around the ministry, and many other things.
Thank you to the team, you all are missed, and were a huge blessing to the staff here at Jimmy Hughes Ministries.
God bless you all.

New Mexico Team
At the end of June we had Ernie's sister Debbie and her husband, Randy, here with a team from their church out of Farmington, NM. It was a 22 man team, and we kept them busy. They were a huge blessing to us all. They brought school supplies for the school kids at the children's home, they brought diapers for the babies, medicine for the children and of course medicine for the adults as well, for those occasional headaches form time to time.
They brought with them a puppet stage and the puppets, with the skits, and we went to different villages to share the gospel by using the puppets and by giving out candy, and other food items. My Bro-in-law preached a little bit, it was awesome. We took them into the women's prison, were Ernie cooked and they shared there with the women. They had a great time.
One of the team members led an elderly lady, i want to say she was like 90 something, to the Lord right here in Zambrano, you never know how and when God is going to use you, but we need to be ready at all times.
Thanks to all of those that came on this trip, and also to those that were praying for them while they were here.
God bless.

Missions team visit
We had a visit today by a team from Mississippi. They were brought here by Pastor Luis, which is the ministry that we go and do the cooking and feeding for every Sat. They brought mini beach balls for all the kids, they gave them cool bracelets that they made, they did a puppet show, and they did face painting, the kids had a great time. This was the first team for the summer to come and visit. Now that school is out for the summer I'm sure we will be getting lots of visits from teams from the U.S., and also here locally in Honduras. Our kids love when we have visitors, it makes them feel special, and they get lots of attention from more than just us. What a blessing!!
Maria and Kevin
We received a 12 year old pregnant girl about 2 months ago, she is living at the children's home, and her name is Maria. She gave birth to a baby boy, Kevin, about 7 weeks ago. Mom and baby are doing well. The baby weighed about 7 lbs, and is healthy, Praise God! The father of Kevin is Maria's brother in law. She was living with her sister and her husband, and apparently the brother in law was having sex with both girls, Maria say's it was not rape, she is in love with this man, so she was removed from the home of the sister, and also her parents home and placed with us. The home situation is being investigated to see if it is now a safe place for Maria to return to with the baby, so please be in prayer with us for the will of our Father in heaven to be done, and that the time that Maria is with us that she will be healed and restored.
Thank you and God bless you all!

Luna's 2nd birthday
We celebrated Luna's 2nd birthday this week. She had a cinderella pinatta, that she was terrified of, with lot's of candy, and of course cake, her favorite part. All the kids had a great time. We are looking forward to this year as we continue to teach her and help to her learn about Jesus, and to worship Him, she is a little worshiper, she loves to dance.
We also discovered she has a great love for shoes, she is such a girl!!! She says shoe in english and spanish, but the spanish way is supposed to be zapato, but she says papo, too cute.
Blessings to all.

Update on baby David
Baby David is now 4 months old and doing great. We just took him to his heart Dr. and they did a test to see if he still has the murmur, and the test showed that he has a very small hole, the size of a hair, and they will do the test again at 6 months old, and see if it's gone, and he was taken off of his 2 heart medicines, Praise Jesus! So please be in prayer with us that in 2 months when we take him back for that test, it will be completely closed up and he will have a normal, healthy heart.
Thanks to you ALL.

New Toddler
We have a new 3 yr old and her name is Carmen. She has been with us, in the children's home, for 3 weeks. She was living on the street with her mom and dad and was taken away because they are homeless and glue sniffers. Her mom was placed in a government rehab center and Carmen was sent to us by the government. She is a little angel. When she came she had lice, and was filthy dirty and cried alot. She had no home, and would sometimes sleep standing up, but now she is happy, and has a warm bed to sleep in and feels the love of Jesus, and enjoys having lots of brothers and sisters, and aunts and uncles to give her hugs and kisses, we'll keep you posted on her progress.

Update on little David
David is doing great. He, as of last week, weighs 7 pounds, and he is growing and getting bigger, we can actually pinch his cute little cheeks, where as before they were just skin and bones. We take him to the Dr. Monday, and i am hoping and praying he will be 8 pounds, if not more by then, Praise God! Thanks for your prayers and we ask that you please continue to pray for him, the Dr. will do a test to see if his heart murmur is gone, and i am believing it is.
Take care and God bless.

Robyn's Nest is growing!
Well, the little nest is growing and growing. We now have 5 babies living with us. We have Joey, Kathy, Luna, and the newest additions are Nicole, the baby of Roxanna, who just turned 1 yr this month, and then we just got the 5th baby this week, his name is David. His mom is Amber, and she came here to Honduras to go through the rehab program and she now lives at the children's home. David was born premature, and he weighs 5'6", and he has a heart murmur. Other than that he is just fine, healthy, just tiny. I am a little overwhelmed at times, and tired, but extremely happy, i love these babies!!
I know God does not give us more than we can handle, so just please pray he give me super natural energy! LOL
